Visual Automation, Inc. today announces iLock(TM) for Windows® 95. iLock is a new product in Visual Automation’s family of desktop security product line, historically designed for mission-critical situations. iLock is a desktop shell replacement for the purpose of limiting access to applications on the computer.
iLock provides a new way to access Icons - And a way to restrict access
As a shell, iLock replaces the explorer interface, providing an "Explorer like" icon window in it’s place. Each icon or folder may be locked. Access to Windows configuration functions require a password. iLock configuration is focused on locking or unlocking icons and choosing a password.
iLock is ideal for the home or classroom setting
"After our success with Secure Desktop(TM) for mission-critical situations, we realized a need for something similar for home and classroom situations," said Duane Fahey, President of Visual Automation. "We focused our design efforts on minimal configuration, rather than loading it with confusing features. Icon configuration is read right from Explorer interface, we just provide the means to lock it down."
Availability and Pricing
iLock will be available direct from Visual Automation, Inc. or any of its authorized resellers at an MSRP of $29 USD in late November. A 20 pack license is $200 USD. Online purchasing will be available, watch the iLock web page at http://www.ilock.com or the Visual Automation web page at http://www.visualautomation.com for more information.
